Yesterday (Sunday 14th July) was truly a remarkable day for HASK. The journey to the competition center in Illford, which took around 3 hours from home, marked the beginning of an exciting and eventful day. Arriving at 8 am, the team was eager and prepared, ready to embark on the day's challenges.
With a total of 21 competitors representing our club, we competed in the main categories of Janpanese Style Form (Kata) and Japanese Style Kumite. Additionally, some of our students took the opportunity to participate in a new category for HASK - Point Sparring in Kickboxing. The day unfolded with intense matches and impressive displays of skill and determination.
As the event drew to a close around 16:00, the results spoke volumes about the dedication and hard work of our team. HASK proudly returned home with an impressive haul of 10 Gold Medals, 9 Silver Medals, and 5 Bronze Medals, totaling an outstanding 24 medals in all.
This achievement stands as yet another testament to the talent and commitment of HASK's students. The entire team, along with the coaches and Headteacher Shihan Daren Stirrat, deserves commendation for their unwavering support and encouragement throughout the competition.
Each victory and every medal earned is a testament to the perseverance and skill of our students, reflecting the strong spirit and ethos of HASK. We celebrate this success with immense pride and look forward to more achievements in the future.
