1st HASK Karate Camp - Reading 2025

Our First Ever Hampshire Academy of Shotokan Karate (HASK) Summer Camp began on Friday, June 27th, with participants arriving at the hilltop hostel. We kicked off with a cozy barbecue evening, checked our rooms, and settled in.

Saturday, June 28th, started early at 6:30 am with morning yoga. The day was well-organized, featuring kata training, techniques, and self-defense. There were also walks around the area and games for the children. It was both a productive and relaxing day. Since the weather was hot and sunny, we made sure to stay in the shade to prevent overheating.

On Sunday, the final day, we began with yoga, enjoyed a hearty breakfast, and tidied up the hostel. Everyone then packed their cars and headed home.

Since this was our First experience, we gained a wealth of knowledge and gathered numerous ideas. We will return with our next Summer Camp event in 2026.
